Hi, I’m Dr. Krysti Vo.
I’m a double-board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who work with people of all ages.
I learned about creating habits years ago when I trained to run the NYC marathon.
Despite encountering a knee injury during training, I surprisingly ended up participating in nine smaller races within three months and completed the NYC Marathon in 2017.
Through this experience, I witnessed firsthand how habits can shape our lives. I saw how small, consistent actions lead to big changes.
I want to share all that I have learned so you, too, can finally create habits that enable you to have a more fulfilling life.
Habits are our brain’s way to conserve energy. When we repeatedly perform a certain action, our brain recognizes it as a pattern and eventually automates it, turning it into a habit.
This automation allows our brain to conserve energy by not having to consciously think about or make decisions regarding those actions. As a result, we can focus our mental energy on more complex tasks.
With the right support, building new habits can become second nature, even in your hectic schedules.
