YouHabits, the flagship mental performance framework developed by Dr. Krysti Vo, has officially launched as the centerpiece of a prestigious new partnership with Hudson River Community Sailing (HRCS). This collaboration brings high-level behavioral science to the NYC waterfront, providing sailors with the mental toolkit required for elite leadership.
Merging clinical expertise with maritime discipline, this program is designed for those who recognize that the most important navigation happens within the mind.
The YouHabits Curriculum: A Four-Week Mastery Series
Lasting behavioral change requires more than a single afternoon of training. Because repetition is the key to mastery, the YouHabits series is structured as a four-week intensive journey. Starting February 5, participants engage in weekly sessions that translate the split-second demands of sailing into sustainable life habits.
HRCS members will dive deep into the four pillars of the YouHabits framework:
-
Focus Under Pressure – Master the ability to maintain situational awareness when conditions shift and the stakes are high.
-
Emotional Regulation – Develop internal “ballast” to stay steady and calm, regardless of the external environment.
-
Teamwork and Follow-Through – Build the communication habits that turn a group of individuals into a high-performing crew.
-
Sound Decision-Making – Use logic-based frameworks to plot the most effective course of action in navigation and in business.
Partner Spotlight: Hudson River Community Sailing (HRCS)
Hudson River Community Sailing (HRSC) is a premier New York City non-profit dedicated to developing leadership and academic success through maritime education. Operating out of Pier 66 in Chelsea, HRCS uses the power of the river to teach STEM, resilience, and teamwork to underserved youth while providing a vibrant community hub for adult sailors.
Their commitment to community-led leadership makes them the ideal environment for the YouHabits framework. Through integrating mental performance coaching into their existing maritime programs, HRCS continues to set the standard for holistic personal development on and off the water.
Exclusive Access for the Sailing Community
This specialized training is offered exclusively to the Hudson River Community Sailing club. For a limited time, members receive no-cost access to these evidence-based sessions, held every Thursday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM ET. This partnership provides the sailing community with a rare opportunity to learn directly from a double board-certified expert in the field of habit formation.
About the Facilitator: Dr. Krysti Lan Chi Vo, MD
Dr. Krysti Lan Chi Vo is a double board-certified adult and child psychiatrist, habit coach, and Yoga Alliance–certified yoga instructor. She founded Vo.Care to help high-performers optimize their mental “dashboard” through practical, science-backed strategies.
Her unique perspective views the sailboat as a laboratory for human behavior. Combining her psychiatric background with a passion for leadership and movement, she provides HRCS members with “street-legal” habits that work both on the water and in the boardroom.
