Let me tell you a true, short story about myself. Back in September 2016, I took on a big challenge: running a half marathon in NYC, even though I’d never run a race before. Surprisingly, I ended up running nine races within 3 months, and then later ran the NYC Marathon in 2017. But it wasn’t easy—I injured my knee during training. But, I didn’t give up. I got physical therapy and changed my training routine until it worked.
Running the NYC Marathon taught me a valuable lesson: enjoy the journey, not just the finish line. Instead of obsessing over my race time, I focused on enjoying the process. This mindset helped me finish the marathon without getting hurt and reminded me that the journey is just as important as the destination.
With this experience, I discovered firsthand how the power of habits can shape our lives. From committing to my daily training runs to embracing recovery routines, I witnessed how small, consistent actions can lead to significant change. This ignited my passion for helping others harness the potential of habits, eventually inspiring the creation of YouHabits.
What is YouHabits?
